Christ’s Church of the Valley – Peoria, AZ

As part of the expansion of a large church campus, the two new buildings of 110,000 square feet provide separate spaces for junior high school and high school age participants. Both buildings are framed with structural steel with metal decking and concrete fill and are founded on conventional foundations. The larger two-story children’s ministry building has classroom spaces, four raised platforms, a central plant, and extensive exterior second floor decks protected from the sun by large shade structures anchored to the building structure and to pipe columns. The smaller youth ministry building has a raised stage over a crawl space for routing of cabling, and an open long-span steel joist roof system to create a high volume performance venue with state of the art sound and lighting systems.
