15th and Market, San Diego, CA

Located in downtown San Diego, the five-story, mixed-use project incorporates TypeIII wood-framed construction with upper story mezzanine units. The 150-unit residential design is founded on two stories above grade and two stories below utilizing mild reinforced concrete slabs. Exterior walls were not used for seismic resistance in the lateral wood shearwall system as a finite element, semi-rigid diaphragm analysis was used to analyze the wood-framed structure.
