Coronado Adult Activity Center – Coronado Island, CA

The 8,800 square foot single-story adult activity center houses senior programs and supports the needs of the neighboring lawn bowling club and City Library. Exposed long-span Alaskan Yellow Cedar girders float above a large multi-purpose room with moveable glass walls. Long cantilevers connect the indoor space with an exterior patio and its stone covered fireplace. Extensive detailing of exposed wood framing connections is utilized throughout the project.
