Orange & Wilson – Glendale, CA

This modern, mixed-use 160-unit five-story residential structure used Type III wood framing with upper story mezzanine units over podium. Two stories above grade and two parking levels below are constructed with mild reinforced concrete slabs. Exterior walls were not used in the residential lateral shearwall system as a finite element semi-rigid diaphragm analysis was used to analyze the wood-framed structure.
